St Mary the Virgin,
Syde is one of the tiniest villages in the country, comprising only 15 households: nonetheless it is a hive of activity and excitement. The Norman church of St. Mary the Virgin is tucked away in a peaceful and contemplative spot and attracts a friendly Sunday congregation as well as plenty of walkers and other visitors. It is a small friendly church which welcomes well behaved animals to its services; as can be seen here as Tara keeps watch while Andrew prays.
