Welcome from Rector Valerie Thorne.
Ermin West Benefice is part of The Church of England in The Diocese of Gloucester. The Benefice consists of 7 parishes and 9 churches, in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, covering 15 villages.
Laying between Cirencester in the east and Gloucester in the west. It is bounded in the north by the old roman road the Ermin Way (today the A 417), which gives it name to the benefice, and streches south towards Stroud.
We have some wonderful historic buildings in many beautiful Cotswold villages and we are very proud of our heritage but first of all we are called to be the body of Christ.
Jesus says that his followers are his friends, better still we are called to be God's family, daughters and sons of the Living God, how amazing is that! Friends and family are all about relationships and we seek to grow in our relationship with each other as we grow in friendship with God. The church is the body of people who meet to grow closer to God and each other that we might become the kind of people God calls us and made us to be. It is the discovery of what it means to be truly human.
This is an exciting journey and we would love to share it with you so whether you are on holiday, just moving in or have been here for years it would be a joy to meet you. My contact details are:
